The Workshop on Agreement Technologies (WAT 2008) being held at IBERAMIA 2008 –an international conference where the Ibero-american AI community meets to share ideas and results– will take place on October 14 -17, 2008 in Lisbon (Portugal). This is the first time a workshop of this nature is being offered and organized at IBERAMIA. This Workshop on Agreement Technologies is specifically addressed for any work that aims at developing models, frameworks, methods and algorithms for constructing such systems, i.e., approaches and solutions for the needs of next generation computing systems where autonomy, interaction and mobility will be the key issues.
The organizing committee responsible for this WAT consists of Marc Esteva (IIIA-CSIC, Spain), Alberto Fernandez (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Spain), Adriana Giret (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain) and Vicente Julian (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain), a leading team that has a widely recognized and extensive experience in this field.
